How does pricing work?
We price the whole list upfront. You get a number before anyone shows up, and that's the number for the work we quoted - no hourly creep and no surprise add-ons at the end. Pricing only changes if the scope changes: you add work while we're there, or we run into something we couldn't see from the outside, like rotted framing, a hidden obstruction, or a wall that isn't built the way it looked. If that happens, we stop, explain it, and get your approval on the new number before we keep going.
Is there a minimum job size?
No minimum job size, but there is a minimum job price. Every visit carries real cost - the drive, the truck, the hardware, and the time it takes to get the job scheduled and done right. The minimum covers that. It also means you get better value bundling four or five items into one visit than booking them one at a time.
How fast can you get out here?
Most quotes go out the same business day, and we can usually schedule within the same week. Call us directly if you're on a tighter timeline.
What areas do you serve?
North Central Florida, from Gainesville and Ocala to Lake City, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine. If you're just outside that, ask - we'll tell you straight whether it makes sense.
Are you licensed and insured?
Licensed & insured in the State of Florida. Documentation is available on request once we're working together.
What kind of work won't you do?
Anything structural, or work requiring an electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general contractor's license. We'll tell you upfront and point you toward the right trade.
Do I need to be home?
For most interior work, yes - at least to let us in and walk the list. For commercial installs we can usually coordinate with a manager or property contact.
Do you supply the materials?
We bring standard hardware and consumables. For specific fixtures, mounts, or signage, we'll either source them or install what you've already bought.

Crating & packaging
What does your crating and packaging service cover?
Custom wood crates and heavy-duty packaging for anything a cardboard box won't protect. For homes and collectors that's artwork, mirrors, sculpture, antiques, marble and glass tops, pianos and instruments, gun safes, large TVs, and family pieces headed cross-country or overseas. On the commercial side it's machinery and equipment, industrial parts, lab and medical devices, server and AV gear, signage, trade show displays, and oversized or odd-shaped freight. We build the crate around the item on site.
Do you build crates on site or in a shop?
Both. For most equipment we build on site so the crate is measured to the actual item and the item never has to be moved twice. For smaller pieces or repeat runs, we can build ahead of time and bring the crate to you.
What goes into a crate besides the wood?
The crate is the outer shell - protection happens inside it. Depending on the item that means foam blocking and bracing, edge protection, moisture barrier or shrink wrap, desiccant, anti-static wrap for electronics, and bolting or strapping heavy items directly to the skid so nothing shifts in transit.
Can a forklift or pallet jack handle what you build?
Yes. Crates and skids are built with proper runners and entry points so a forklift or pallet jack can pick them from the intended sides, and we mark the crate so the dock crew knows how to handle it.
How is crating and packaging priced?
By the item, not by the hour. Dimensions, weight, fragility, and how the piece needs to travel drive the price. Send photos and rough measurements and we'll quote it before we build anything.
Do you ship the crate too?
We handle the crating and packaging so the item is ready for pickup. You or your freight carrier handle transport - we'll build to what your carrier requires and coordinate with them on pickup day.
Can you crate a single item, or do you need a full job?
One item is fine. A single machine, one piece of art, one display - if it needs to travel and a cardboard box won't do it, that's a job we'll take.
TV mounting
Can you mount a TV over a fireplace or on brick?
Yes. Masonry, brick, stone, and tile all take specific anchors and more time than drywall, so mention the surface when you reach out and we'll bring the right hardware and price it correctly.
Can the cables be hidden inside the wall?
In most cases, yes - we run them through a rated in-wall pass-through kit. When the wall construction won't allow it, we use a paintable low-profile raceway so nothing hangs loose.
Do you supply the mount?
We can source one sized to your TV, or install the mount you already bought. Either way we verify it's rated for the weight before it goes on the wall.
Furniture assembly
What kinds of furniture do you assemble?
Beds, dressers, desks, bookcases, wardrobes, cribs, office furniture, outdoor sets, grills, playsets, and exercise equipment.
Do you anchor furniture to the wall?
Yes, and we recommend it for anything tall or in a kids' room. Anchors go into framing, not drywall alone.
Do you take the boxes with you?
Yes. Packaging and cardboard leave with us so you're not stuck breaking it down.
Drywall patch & repair
Can you match my wall texture?
Yes - knockdown, orange peel, and smooth are all standard for us. We match the surrounding wall so the patch doesn't telegraph under light.
Do you paint the repair?
Repairs are finished and primed. Final color matching is a separate conversation - tell us what you want and we'll be straight with you about the result.
How long does a patch take to finish?
Small patches are usually one visit. Larger cutouts need drying time between coats, which can mean a second trip to sand, texture, and prime properly.
Doors & hardware
My door won't latch. Do I need a new one?
Almost never. Most latch problems are a strike plate that needs to move an eighth of an inch, worn hinges, or a frame that shifted. We diagnose before we cut.
Can you install smart locks?
Yes - deadbolts, levers, closers, and smart locks. We key them, test them, and confirm the bolt throws fully into the jamb.
Shelving & storage
Can you install overhead garage racks?
Yes. Racks are anchored into ceiling joists with fasteners chosen for the actual load, not whatever came in the box.
Will floating shelves hold real weight?
They will when they're mounted into framing with the right bracket. Tell us what's going on the shelf and we'll build to that load.
Blinds & curtain rods
Do you measure, or do I need to before ordering?
We can measure before you order so you get the right size the first time. If you've already bought them, we'll confirm fit and mount type before drilling.
Can you install motorized shades?
Yes - cordless and motorized shades included. We cycle every unit to confirm smooth operation before we leave.
Signage installation
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. When a storefront or entrance can't be blocked during the day, we schedule early, late, or on a weekend.
What surfaces can you mount signage to?
Stucco, block, brick, EIFS, metal, glass, and drywall. Anchors are matched to the substrate and sealed where weather can get in.
Do you make the sign too?
We install. If you don't have a fabricator, we'll point you to one and coordinate on mounting details before it's built.
ADA compliance signage
Why does placement matter so much?
Most ADA signage problems aren't the sign - they're where it ended up. Tactile signs belong on the latch side of the door, at consistent height, with clear floor space in front. That's where compliance is won or lost.
Can you fix signage that was installed wrong?
Yes. We correct height, side, and clearance issues, and document placement so you have a record for the building.
